Great Island Plaza (GIP) will be the premier Yarmouth community plaza. The highly anticipated remodel is shown in the rendering below. With a planned complementary mix of tenants and seasonal activities we expect the plaza and its tenants will thrive for many years to come.
Phase 1 will have six stores to lease in the first phase from 700 plus sq ft to nearly 2,000 sq ft spaces. We are pleased to say the US Post office on the adjourning site is staying and Basil Thai Cuisine will also stay in the main plaza. The remainder of the plaza will be developed over the next few years and may be as large as 25,000 sq. ft with common areas for tenant use and public facilities. The schedule for the project is below and we anticipate completion early 2021.
June 30, 2020: Town of Yarmouth (TOY) site plan review.
July 7 or 14: TOY Zoning Board of appeals.
End of July – 1st week of August (20 days after ZBA decision): Permits get generated.
August 5: Estimated Starting date.
August – December: Plaza remodel.
December – February: Tenant fit up.
March 2021: Estimated Target finish date – Ready for entry!!!
** If the Phase 1 spaces aren’t a match for your needs the Great Island Plaza will continue to develop the following new retail and office properties shown below. Let me know and I will keep you informed of the progress or if we can do some custom work to fit your specific needs?
